The kitchen cupboard (“Madia”), a traditional piece of furniture so dear to elderly Tuscans, was once the symbol of family sustenance.
It is here, in the memory of old traditions, that the products of Fattoria Poggio Alloro which, with its 100 hectares of land in the heart of the
Tuscan hills, at the feet of San Gimignano, are born.
The Fioroni brothers lovingly
and devotedly cultivate their land with vines, olives and cereal crops:
durum wheat, rye, maize, barley and others.
Today, just like in days gone by,
everything is planned and accomplished with complete respect for
the environment, with organic fertilising and treatments, observance
of the seasons and the traditional crop rotation system, which allows better
soil regeneration and contributes to obtaining excellent quality natural produce. |
